Amnion

Amniotic allografts are tissues derived from the placenta, umbilical cord, or umbilical cord blood. These substances take advantage of their numerous growth factors which are believed in many cases to improve tissue function and restore damaged tissue. These cells have anti-inflammatory properties and are typically cryo-preserved or dehydrated.

 Key Points:

  • Unlike the other procedures, Amnion does not provide live stem cells or proteins, but the growth factors can be very powerful in the restorative and anti-inflammatory process
